Duopharma Biotech Bhd has concluded the supply agreements with the Malaysian Government and Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) for the supply of 6.4 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.
KUALA LUMPUR (June 1): Duopharma Biotech Bhd said today it had signed an agreement with the government to supply 6.4 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine to Malaysia. The company said in a statement that through its wholly-owned subsidiary Duopharma (M) Sdn Bhd (DMSB), it concluded the execution of separate definitive supply agreements with the Malaysian government (represented by the Ministry of Health [MoH]) and a subsidiary of the Russian.

This holds relevance while several states in India are whining about the dearth of COVID-19 vaccine quota as a result, the third phase of their vaccination drive is deferred in a few. Russia has previously dispatched consignment consisting of life-saving medical aid too. The first batch comprised 1,50,000 doses of SPUTNIK V, while the remaining batches would comprise more than 3 million doses which is due this month.
