The monster storm. Hurricane harvey and its tortuously slow march along the gulf coast. Satellite image of where it is right now. It is a category 1 hurricane about 30 miles southwest of victoria, texas, but it came ashore overnight as a ferocious category 4 storm, winds of 130 miles per hour. It made landfall around rockport where the high school we know was heavily damaged. This is the strongest to hit the United States in 12 years and already dealing a devastating blow.
