Sanders took the stage at about 5 15, firing up the crowd about for about five minutes. He spoke about raising the minimum wage. But most of all, for people, not the billionaires to come together. Todd and in other news today fire investigators looking into , a fire that broke out at the copart salvage auto auctions at 3300 vandalia. It started around 4 30 this morning. We are told the fire damaged several cars and a building. But nobody was hurt. Starting today, 12th street from grand avenue to mulberry will go from oneway to twoway traffic. Drivers will be able to drive and park in both directions on that section of 12th street. Pilot program the city is doing in advance of its upcoming walkability study for downtown. The Pappajohn Education Center in downtown des moines. The fair featured 20 different organizations with something to offer iowa veterans, including Educational Opportunities and employment. Witnesses say 25yearold adacia chambers first ran her car into the motorcycle of a Police Officer working security this morning. Then she crashed her car into the crowd. Now the remnants of the storm that blew through mexico are threatening to bring more rain to the waterlogged texas. Area. Laura as Kenneth Craig shows us, a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for much of the state. Kenneth the roof of this car is barely visible. Too much rain with nowhere to go in corsicana, texas. More than a foot of rain came down friday. Streets were submerged, leaving many drivers stranded in their vehicles. I just think i could make it. I started freaking out. I called 911, and they were like stay there. Kenneth the relentless rain washed away tracks, causing a Freight Train to derail about 60 miles south of dallas. Flash flooding also shut down a major highway between dallas and houston for hours. Traffic was backed up for miles. South and Central Texas are preparing for another round of misery. Remnants of Hurricane Patricia, which hit mexico as a category 5 storm, are expected to dump more rain on the saturated ground saturday night into sunday. Saturday afternoon, officials also issued a voluntary Evacuation Order for residents in part of Galveston County and are offering them transportation and shelter. Well take it one hour at a time. Stephanie i mean, i was really prepared for this might actually be it. I mean, i was really thinking that. And every hour that went by when it wasnt getting bad out, i was just thanking god. That will be here for a while. We saw fog, drizzle, rain that is a thing of the past. This is out at iowa stonehenge what carol calls it. Look at the skies, very clear out there. We will be sitting here for a while. Satellite and radar showing clouds to the east, some trying to move from the south. Before now, areas in central and westward to you to see clear skies. That will be the case for a bit. Look downtown, 59 degrees is what were sitting at in the metro. That brees out of the west at 12 miles. That will be on the decrease to the evening hours. Backing the temperatures down to 40 degrees, so a fairly chilly start. 64 is what we top out at, the average is 60. Along with that, plenty of sunshine. A wider look with things, you see the rain that pushed off. That low pressure system continues to track to the northeast. And highpressure moves from the we do have some cloud cover on the backside of this. I do not think there is a whole lot that will make its way into the weekend. Plan on an absolutely beautiful one out there. Next week, this is the remnant of patricia moving into the gulf and nearly straight northeastward. We could very likely get clipped with the backside of the reign as it moves northeast. Still a lot of variables in play, talking about next week. Plan on a beautiful weekend.
