And certainly over a lifetime as we witnessed a frightening and really disturbing expansion of federal government. Far beyond what our founders ever anticipated and they truly did work hard to work against and present and that expansion of federal government has only gotten worse over the last eight years under president obama. Today we have a great privilege of arizona. Governor Sam Brownback from kansas. [applause] governor of kansas elected in 2010. He is now in his second term. Attorney by training. Also of course a former congressman and senator. He signed the largest income tax cut in kansas history and 2012. [applause] he has been a champion for government Education Systems and environments that promote job creation. A
Its a very important step in our quest to ensure that there is that degree of certainty. This bill ensures that the American People will not have the largest tax increase in the history of our country tomorrow. We have to make sure that the most vulnerable americans do not pay for the rich getting richer. The house will vote on the deal as is there will not be an amendment an idea previously toss around it extends Unemployment Benefits for 2 million americans but it puts off tackling 24 billion in spending cuts for two months when a new congress will be in place dick durbin praised president obama for making the deal happen. He was successful in the senate i hope he will be in the house as well. What prompted you . Guest it is the 50th anniversary and it is 50 years of mine life of the king legacy and to my coming of age. Part of it was to do the to tasks. That my life had been connected to the keying legacy king legacy and how king impacted me and i was involved with this amazing journey of editing kings papers. Host it is an excellent reid and we are of the same generation and i was also coming of age. It was bittersweet because i knew dr. King he was my mentor.
