Sonipat, April 17: G20 Presidency of India aims for inclusive, resilient and sustainable growth, Amitabh Kant, G 20 Sherpa of India said at the Distinguished Public Lecture entitled: India s Presidency of G20: The Way Forward to mark the inauguration of the Jindal Global Centre for G20 Studies at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU).
"We had 46 meetings across 26 countries. The biggest difference in this G20 under India's Presidency compared to the earlier G20 is that this is not an exclusive diplomatic exercise, it has become a people's movement. Amongst the various topics discussed, we have suggested and is newly added is disaster risk education, which is a major problem world is facing", Muraleedharan said.
The second G20 Sherpas meeting under India G20 Presidency is set to take place in the picturesque village of Kerala Kumarakom from March 30 to April 2.
Emmanuel Bonne, who is the diplomatic advisor to French President Macron, praised the excellent cooperation with India at the United Nations Security Council and reiterated the country's support to India for a permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
