The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has sent yet another letter to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra requesting to allow permission to resume shooting films and television serials in Mumbai from the first week of June. FWICE President BN Tiwari told ETimes, We have asked the state to allow us to shoot as our members are facing financial crunch and even production houses are incurring additional expenditure by shifting the shoot to different locations.
Several TV and film shootings that were happening in Goa had to return to Mumbai after a lockdown was announced there and are now considering other states. Tiwari added, We have assured the state government that we will shoot in a bio bubble but work needs to start, the industry is bleeding and we cannot take this anymore.
