JOHNSTOWN The office of Fulton County Emergency Management Director Steven Santa Maria on Wednesday sent out a public warning about severe inclement weather forecast to hit the area Christmas Eve into Christmas Day.
He said Wednesday he’s not trying to scare anyone, but wants to get a warning out during a period with COVID-19 also raging.
“The timing of this event couldn’t be any worse,” he said.
Santa Maria issued a news release indicating the Fulton County Emergency Management Office is encouraging residents to prepare for a Multi-Hazard Weather event that is set to impact the area Thursday night and into Friday. Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and a freeze are all possible scenarios.
