Some house republicans, more house republicans, are now reported ready to reopen government and to raise the Borrowing Limit in return for a promise of meaningful talks on obama care and other spending. Im steve handelsman, news4. The families of more than a dozen Service Members recently killed in action are being denied death benefits because of the shutdown. The families are entitled to a 100,000 payment. That money often helps cover the cost of funerals and provides Financial Assistance until Life Insurance policies take effect.
