trump s strategy by saying hillary clinton is now pandering to women? trump s strategy is always the same. the best defense is a good offense. when hillary clinton criticizes him, he does the same thing he does to anybody who criticizes them. he hits them with a 2x4 as hard as he can. he hits back ten times as hard. that s his m.o. what s taken him to the front-runner position. if it continues, we re going to see ten months of hillary clinton against donald trump. of them sniping this way all the way until the november election. right now each is the front-runner in his or her political party. she gets, though, that trump is very vulnerable with women. she s also focused on women in this campaign a way she did not in 2008. and for him to accuse anybody of pandering is pathetic.
her candidacy so far. remember, chuck, just last week, she was at the pregnancy center in south carolina. she attended an ultrasound with a woman there. she was surrounded by dozens of supporters who appreciated her full-throated attack against planned parenthood and her stance on this abortion debate. so this has been key for fiorina. she did bring up her business record, her comparing politics to business and how in politics, you can say anything, she says, and in business, you have to look at the facts and you have to back up your words with action, essentially. this is part of the strategy that she seems to be running on, chuck. she wants to portray herself as this fighter, as a leader who can make tough decisions and hope that that resonates with voters. it s a very strong quote that she said. like i said, i think it s a quote you re going to see, as long as she s in the front-runner position, you ll see a lot of people use that quote for various reasons. hallie jackson, thanks
take any additional steps to get your campaign back to where it needs to be? do you need to shake up your stuff? the biggest thing for us is get back to basics. getting into iowa and the early states. we announced the other day 99 county chairs were going to be organized by the precincts. they re looking for a president who s going to shake things up in washington, going to wreak some havoc in washington. my argument to those voters is, if you want somebody to do that, pick someone who s done it before. so it s iowa or bust for you? i think we re putting all our eggs in a basket of iowa. we re committed to iowa and we think that will help us make the case all throughout the country. reporter: a rare direct acknowledgment that he has absolutely everything riding on that first iowa caucus, tamron, and that s a pretty big shift for someone who had frankly been spending money and campaigning in a lot more states than just in iowa. and he, of course, has fallen from what was a front
