“It’s a very different type of film,” producer Ian Holt said of “From the Shadows” in an interview with The Daily Californian. “It's not just, ‘Oh, the chase with the knife.’ It deals with some real themes and issues."
While the film’s primary location on a Zoom call recalls the fatigue and trauma from an all-too-real worldwide horror, “From the Shadows” uses its COVID-induced setup as a means to explore alternate forms of storytelling.
