BOOK SALE: The Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St., is marking National Library Week through Saturday. The public is invited to visit the library inperson and online at www.beyond-books.org. New programs include “Toy Lending Library” and “Library of Things,” which allows patrons to borrow exercise equipment, ukulele, solar ovens and other non-books.
There also is an ongoing book sale by the Friends of the Hubbard Library with proceeds benefiting programs and activities.
NILES OFFERING COVID-19 SHOTS: Niles, in conjunction with the Trumbull County Combined Health District, will provide COVID-19 vaccinations to Trumbull County residents 18 and above 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Niles Wellness Center.

STATE OF THE VALLEY: Spanning the Need and Mahoning Valley’s ACTION organization will take part in a panel discussion and conversation on the “State of the Valley” moderated by Anthony Spano 7 p.m. Thursday on the Facebook page of “Spanning the Need,” www.facebook.com/anthonyvspano, then on their YouTube channel following the broadcast.
There will be several topics discussed such as suggestions on curbing violence in the communities, the importance of communication with all community leaders/public, and what successful initiatives or best practices have been or need to be accomplished. If time is available, the panel would be able to take questions from the viewers, where the viewers are able to submit questions in the comment section of the broadcast.
