FREEPORT The Freeport Noon Kiwanis Club will meet at noon May 4 at the Beltline Café & Catering, 325 W. South St.
Masks will be required when not eating and seating will be socially distanced.
The guest speakers will be Northwestern Illinois Community Action Agency Director Stephanie Lewis and NICAA Head Start education manager Sarah Fowler. Head Start is a federally funded child and family development program providing comprehensive developmental, educational and nutritional services to children and parental support. The preschool program serves children ages 3 to 5 years old and their families.
The Freeport Noon Kiwanis Club is a service club established in 1919 dedicated to serving the children of the world and the needs of the Freeport community. The club meets at noon Tuesdays for lunch and a program.

FREEPORT The Freeport Noon Kiwanis Club will meet at noon April 27 at the Beltline Café & Catering, 325 W. South St.
Masks will be required when not eating, and seating will be socially distanced. The program will be presented by Beth Slade and Sue Perry of the thrift store Amity s Attic, located at 22 W. Main St., Freeport. Proceeds from the store provide funding for the Amity Learning Center.

FREEPORT The Freeport Noon Kiwanis Club will meet at noon April 13 at the Beltline Café & Catering, 325 W. South St.
Masks will be required when not eating, and seating will be socially distanced. Attendance via Zoom will also be available.
Tom Willis, Illinois-Eastern Iowa district chair of the Kiwanis Children s Fund, will be the guest speaker. The foundation s mission is to develop resources that transform the goodwill of Kiwanis members into children programs. The fund provides grants for Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs, club and district service projects and disaster relief. The fund also provides support for global health initiatives including the elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus and iodine deficiency disorders conducted in conjunction with UNICEF.

FREEPORT The Freeport Noon Kiwanis Club will meet virtually at noon March 9 via Zoom.
The guest speaker will be Barb Curry, a community worker with the Illinois Nutrition Education Programs. INEP is a part of the University of Illinois Extension and offers programming opportunities throughout Illinois.
Curry partners with a diverse group of community organizations in Stephenson County to help limited income households focus on healthful diets and physical activity. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education program will be featured.

The guest speaker will be Chris Schneiderman, who will present an overview of the Freeport Little League program. Discussion topics will include youth participation, coach and volunteer activities, sponsorship opportunities and adaptations made due to the pandemic.
