The Columbiana County Faith-Based Collaborative will sponsor a free training via Zoom on March 19. “It Starts With You: What Can You Do?’ will provide participants with information about treatment options for individuals with mental health or substance use disorders, as well as resources available. Participants will also learn how to effectively communicate and provide help to individuals and families who are affected by these issues. An optional training on suicide prevention will also be provided. The target audience for this training includes pastors, lay leaders, and other church leadership; church members; greeters and volunteers; church administrators and office staff; and representatives from local faith-based service organizations. The training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.. The optional Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention training will begin at 11:45 and last approximately one hour.
