This year, Schumacher deputy fire chief Ryan Hartling had to find out what 160 kids wanted for Christmas. For the 105th straight year, every child in Schumacher will receive a Christmas gift from the man their community is named after. Frederick Schumacher set aside a trust fund to ensure that local children would get presents for decades after he died. Firefighters will be delivering the gifts this weekend.
