Man’s prison sentence for firearm sparks lawyer’s plea for youth to turn their backs on guns

Solomon Tarr was busted with a loaded 9 mm handgun on Dec. 16, 2019, in Mariners Harbor, said police.

Tarr was sitting inside a vehicle with two other individuals when cops detected a strong odor of marijuana, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.
While frisking the trio, officers recovered a black, semi-automatic, 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol from Tarr’s waistband, said a criminal complaint. The gun was loaded with six bullets, police said.
Tarr was arrested and indicted on charges of criminal weapon possession and criminal firearm possession.
