Grosshans Samwise Gamgee from “Lord of the Rings” is a pretty good example of the leadership and professionalism qualities than should be emulated in the real world, including the legal system. Supreme Court Justice Jamie Grosshans cited the hobbit when asked what literary character would best demonstrate professionalism and leadership, the themes of this year’s Supreme Court Historical Society’s Supreme Evening. Part of the January 28 virtual program had Grosshans and fellow Justice John Couriel, both of whom joined the court last year, interviewed by society Trustee Fred Karlinsky so society members would get to better know the newest justices.
