Bicyclist Hospitalized After Colliding With Vehicle In Canyon Country Crash
A bicyclist was sent to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after reportedly colliding with a vehicle in a Canyon Country crash.
Around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on Sierra Highway and Via Princessa near the Stater Brothers Grocery Store in Canyon Country, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It came in as a traffic collision, vehicle versus pedestrian,” Lopez said.
One person was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries, according to officials on scene.
The exact circumstances leading up to the collision were not available as of Wednesday afternoon.
Minor Airlifted After Becoming Ill In Saugus
A minor was airlifted to the hospital Thursday morning after falling ill in Saugus.
Around 8:30 a.m. first responders received reports of a sick patient on the 23000 block of Cuervo Drive in Saugus, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The patient had some neck pain and was vomiting,” Lopez said.
Due to the patient being a minor, first responders requested a helicopter to transport them to a hospital where the child could get the proper care they need, according to Fire officials.
An ambulance transported the patient to Central Park in Saugus to the awaiting helicopter, according to officials.
One Hospitalized After Gorman Assault Call
Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) are investigating a Gorman assault call that occurred near the 5 Freeway Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday around 5:30 p.m., CHP officers received a call near Smokey Bear Road off the 5 Freeway, for a possible assault call, said Officer Josh Greengard, spokesperson for the CHP Newhall Area Office.
“Two males were holding the other male down,” Greengard said.
The CHP is currently investigating it as an assault with great bodily injury, according to Greengard.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and transported one patient to an area hospital, said Franklin Lopez, spokesperson for the Department.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident as of 3 p.m. Monday
The exact cause of the fire was not known as of Monday afternoon.
Officials were still on scene as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Crash Involving Semi-Truck Blocks Southbound Lanes On 5 Freeway
A crash involving a jackknifed semi-truck blocked several lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway Monday morning.
Around 9:55 a.m. Monday, emergency responders received reports of a traffic collision on the southbound 5 Freeway, just north of Magic Mountain Parkway, according to Franklin Lopez, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We got a call that it was two vehicles, a semi versus sedan,” said Lopez. “No persons trapped, no transports.”

As of 10:10 a.m., the crash left the No.2, 3 and 4 lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway blocked for an unknown duration, according to California Highway Patrol incident logs.
