Frank Cao, the man who was charged in December with murdering a woman on Nuns’ Island, now faces new charges alleging he tried to extort someone just before he was arrested as a suspect in the homicide.
Cao, 62, appeared before Quebec Court Judge Nathalie Duchesneau Friday morning through a video conference between the Montreal courthouse and the Montreal Detention Centre while making his first appearance on the new charges he faces.
