He tells me that there is good news because they believe some extra opinion some Expert Opinions that the crane is not going to fall down. When we asked him why 10 buildings were evacuated in the area, he said it is is out of an abundance of caution being that this is what around 5 00. Theres a lot of people around. Taking refuge at Evacuation Centers about 160 of them are staying at james Lake High School in san jose where donations have closed, food has been pouring in. A sheriff deputy is in Critical Condition tonight after being hit by a bus in santa rita jail earlier today. Survive. The familys pet was caught and killed as they were trying to rescue the boy. Concord Police Officers got to the home at the back unit of 2140 fremont street at 4 30 in the afternoon. The dog had attacked the baby who was with his 7yearold brother in the living room watching tv. Their mother says she had been with her children, but left briefly to put laundry away in the back bedroom. Thats when she told the son to stop growling at the baby who was on the ground. Mom was in another room. When she heard the 7yearold screaming, she runs in and sees whats happening and she immediately grabs her baby and basically saves his life because if she didnt take a quick approach, you know, it would have been a different story. Reporter the mother called 911 and had the older son let the dog outside. Concord police say when they arrived and tried to move the boy from the house into an ambulance, the dog acted aggressively.
