The crash happened two and a half miles from where i am oic didnt take long for the suspect to get there and run a red light. Late saturday night, officers recognized a stolen 1996 honda accord in this parking lot on duane avenue. They put spike strips under the tires to make an easy arrest. An hour later officers say the 32yearold got into the vehicle. As soon as he did that, the officers activated their lights and approached the vehicle to try stop and detain the suspect. As soon as the lights went on he sped through had parking lot. The spike stripes failed. Officers decided not to chase ing way too fast. Our officers within a few seconds of seeing his disregard of safety of anybody else, turned off their lights and decided newt initiate a pursuit. Law enforcement sources say tell cbs news the driver of the vehicle tried to drive through a security gate at an entrance to the campus wednesday morning located on the fort meade camp campus.
