He never forgot who he was and where he came from. He was quiet and low key. Reporter his priorities were housing, homelessness, jobs and minimum wage. He had Many Political battles in his three decades of public service. Opponents may have disagreed with him on policy, but everyone agrees that our mayor was a good man with a good heart. Who did more than lead San Francisco. Ed lee is being remembered as a mayor, family man and friend. The unexpected death of ed lee has left the bay area stunned. It has. The impact has spread far beyond San Francisco and were going to share some of those stories with you tonight. We have coverage showing what a difference this man made. The situation as a mass casualty incident. We do not have any numbers as to how many people could be injured or killed. Clearly this is a serious situation. The transit board has tweeted there is massive damage and people are hurt. The highway is blocked as you can see on this small traffic camera. Traffic is at a standstill on 5 due to the heavy traffic jam from the root derailment. People have been posting photos on social media. We know that there is heavy rain in the area which is nothing new for Washington State. Here are more pictures from people close to the scene.
