Two people are dead after a fiery crash at a San Francisco offramp. It all started with a chase from oakland across the bay bridge at speeds up to 130 miles an hour. Good afternoon. Im tori campbell. Reporter well, things are back to normal here at the fifth street offramp but thats only after the chp had to shut it down for six hours because of that fiery crash. Flames could be seen from the freeway above when the speeding convertible flipped and landed before fifth and harrison street. The two people inside were instantly killed. And this all began as the chp chase around 3 00 this morning in oakland. Officers noticed the stolen bmw out of San Francisco heading northbound on 880 before the macarthur maze. A witness shared her cell phone video of the pursuit across the bay bridge which reached excessive speeds. They were probably going 100. I actually saw the flames and smelt them. It i was
In a high rise condo. Now Police Believe they have the suspected arsonist. They have a picture of him, now they just need a name. The man looks inconspicuous. The images were taken at the time time there was a fire in the area. He hopes the release of these surveillance pictures taken on two separate occasions last week will pre prevent any more fires from igniting in his neighborhood. A firebug has started as many as one dozen fires over the last week. Some have been at construction sites in the area, others newsstands and dumpsters. He said call 911 theres a fire. Reporter thats him running out the door. He ran to put out two fires set on his building. Without the fire i probably would have ran out to the street. Yes, its a difficult case, i think, for the commission because you kind of have to say on the one hand if you just look at what the architects presented as just land use issues, or setback issues or residential design guideline issues, or whatever, then it probably isnt extraordinary. But there seem to be other circumstances that were always faced with. So, on the one hand, i think as a bedroom, since its off the bedroom and if we assume that the project sponsor is going to live there for quite a long period of time and hes old enough that hes not going to grow very much taller, hes, you know, the five foot setback would probably work. I dont know which lady in the back is your wife, but i assume shes not any taller than you are. So, from one standpoint you could argue that five feet might work in this case and still have enough livability on the deck. And i suppose and i dont know where to go with it exactly, but one ide
