Remedios oh, yes of course, and thats a very important effort that all the 50 Mexican Consulates in the United States celebrate and along with many of our local allies, with labor authorities, both of the federal and state level, and also with many nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to providing
Damian boy, and the culture there is so rich. I mean, its been for decades. Rodrigo yes, yes, and its the reason why we want to preserve a lot of the beautiful assets that we hold near and dear to our hearts, and fiestas las americas is one of them. Damian well, i mean, in the mission, there are so many cultures within the culture of the mission. Tell us about the diversity within that Diverse Community there in the mission. Rodrigo of course. You know, a lot has changed, but however, the essence of the Mission District is very strong. And that essence is mexican, is nicaraguense, puerto rican, filipino, africanamerican. So, all that created this beautiful melting pot of what is the Mission District and why its so, so cherished in San Francisco and the bay area. Damian let me ask you this. Of seek the services there. Talk about why that might be a good target audience for yall. Mohan you know, the consulates really a trusted space. Its where people go from the community to already receive services, but they know they can go there and ask questions. And right now, theres a lot of fear in the community with the threat of deportation or being detained, especially for immigrants, and san jose in particular has a large immigrant community as well as folks throughout santa clara and within the scope of the consulate. So, we wanted to provide services at a place where folks are gonna feel comfortable coming to ask questions. We want to be able to answer questions about what to do to keep their money safe. Some folks are feeling like they need to close their Checking Account, for instance, in case a Family Member gets detained. They wanna make sure they have access to those funds.
