Town, at least two to be hit in the area last evening. Two women in their late 60s were killed in fairdale, about 80 miles west of chicago. They were friends. One was found today. As usually happens, coming into more stable air, all associated with a cold front leading ep of this just about to come into the panhandle of West Virginia. Southern extent of it now down to just west of roanoke. This northern part of it now coming into frostburg. This is the line here thats just east of elkins. Closer to us but still about 2 hours 45 minutes or so away from getting close to the metro area. Thats going to be maybe around 2 00 this afternoon. It was a monster of a tornado of a size they see maybe once or twice a decade in illinois. It killed two people and turned a small town of fairdale into a tortured landscape of misery and devastation. In the destruction zone tonight survivors are still recounting harrowing moments of when it hit, a frantic search for those trapped and coming to grips with what they have lost. And as we come to expect, there were cameras rolling as buildings were ripped from their foundations and vehicles sailed through the air.
