Moberly receives clean audit
The council received the city s audit report Monday from Columbia-based Williams-Keepers LLC.
Moberly uses a modified cash basis for accounting, so the audit report included information on city fund financial statements and their notes as they have more detail than a government-wide audit report, Amanda Schultz, with Williams-Keeper said.
The audit was on the fiscal year that ended June 30. Revenue actually was up by $711,000, Schultz said. This was due to Ameren solar rebates received during that year. Expenditures also increased, though, by about $929,000. This was down to the city s purchase of the Heritage Hills Golf Course.
