Laws Whiskey House of Denver last month announced the launch of a new limited-edition Experiential Series variant from its line up – a Ruby Port Finished Bourbon that’s seen as a sweet, grain-forward style of whiskey.
Created with the same bourbon mash bill as the distillery’s flagship Four Grain Straight Bourbon with 60 percent corn, 20 percent heirloom wheat, 10 percent heirloom rye and 10 percent heirloom, this latest offering was aged on-site for over three years in new charred American oak and finished in 225 liter Portuguese Ruby Port French Oak Casks for two years. It was recently bottled at 95 proof.
