The pandemic did not keep the Good Food Awards from soldiering on for its 11th annual celebration of independent food and beverage artisans and the Bay Area was well-represented once again, with 27 local winners for products such as beer, charcuterie and cheese.
A virtual ceremony took place Friday in honor of 219 winners, who were judged among nearly, 2,000 entries during a first-ever virtual blind tasting. Among the winners, 44 come from California, and 55% are walking away with awards for the first time.
