MACON, Ga. For the last three weeks, people watched the almost-10 minute video of George Floyd s death on replay during Derek Chauvin s trial. No way in the world that you call yourself a human being and you saw what you saw on that tape and you weren t affected by it, says Fort Valley Police Chief Lawrence Spurgeon.
Spurgeon says he thinks the video was the overwhelming evidence that the prosecution and the jury needed.

Last month,
officers arrested 20-year-old Trayvon Thomas of Fort Valley. Officers charged Thomas with murder and violation of the Georgia Street Gang and Terrorism Act in the shooting death of 44-year-old Kevin “Batman” Neal.

FORT VALLEY, Ga. A Fort Valley man has been arrested and charged for a shooting that left a 44-year-old man dead.
Miguel Moris lived across the hall from the victim, 44-year-old Kevin Neal nicknamed Batman.
“We re over here by Fort Valley State with all these police, and a guy comes up in the broad daylight with an AK-47 and kills somebody,” said Moris.

UPDATE: Fort Valley Police have arrested a man for the shooting death of 44-year-old Kevin Neal.
According to a department news release, 20-year-old Trayvon Thomas, of Fort Valley, was taken into custody. He’s charged with felony murder and violation of the Georgia Street Gang and Terrorism Act. Thomas is being held in the Peach County Law Enforcement Center.

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Fort Valley man is dead after a shooting Thursday night.
It happened just before 6:45 p.m. at 210 Rayfield Wright Street, according to a news release from Fort Valley Police.
