The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education held the graduation of its inaugural class at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine on May 15.
It was also the second commencement for ACHE s master of science in biomedicine program.
The college bestowed diplomas to 143 new doctors of osteopathic medicine during a ceremony at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Stubblefield Center. ACHE also recognized 43 master s in biomedicine graduates.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the commencement was divided into two ceremonies in order to accommodate social distancing.
Graduate Medical Education (GME) placement for the physician class of 2021 was announced on March 19 with a Match Day celebration. The medical college had a 95% match rate for its first class. The residency placement rate within the service region was 74%.
