Im the new executive director of the center for biography, which is celebrating its tenth year now all data shall be white at the foundation, and i want to advertise first of all our new alliance with bio. This is the first jointly sponsored event with them but also courtesy of will swift of the president we are also going to be doing a cosponsoring of their great annual conference on biography next may that will also be happening here. Lauryn hill is in her prime of her life, i would love to say here. She is the assistant editor of the multicultural magazine, she entered last summer at the afroamerican newspaper in d. And reallylace here, our privilege, at smpa to host conversations like this that bring remarkable people who do remarkable things and sometimes very Difficult Conversations to this stage. Tonight, what you will hear is, as i said, that front row seat on history. Being a woman of color at this time and in this place is something that is too rare, something we need to be thinking about on a lot of different levels.
