About 30 minutes after the protest began at 5 p.m. in Forest Park, most in the group began blocking rush-hour traffic in the intersection of Skinker and Forest Park Parkway.
Student Penny Thaman, a sophomore and an activist with Resist WashU, said it isn’t normal: “This did not happen last year. And I think the reasons are pretty obvious.”
