The government’s promise of payment to farmers within 72 hours of crop procurement has proved to be another “jumla”, said Hooda, who is the Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly.
Former Haryana chief minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday alleged that the state government’s claims of smooth crop procurement have proved hollow as a majority of farmers are yet to receive their payment. The government’s promise of payment to farmers within 72 hours of crop procurement has proved to be another “jumla”, said Mr. Hooda, who is the Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly.

Chandigarh: A special CBI court in Panchkula on Friday framed charges against former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the Associated Journals Limited (AJL) plot re-allotment case.
The charges were framed against Hooda under Sections 420 (cheating) and 120-B (party to criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, a defence lawyer said.
Hooda was present in the court when charges were framed.

The High Court has also directed the state government to bring the original file of former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala s premature release considered by the Delhi Government.
A Division Bench of Justice Siddharth Mridul and Anup Jairam Bhambhani directed State Government to bring the original file of Chautala s premature release considered by the Delhi Government.
Advocate Amit Sahni appearing for Chautlala submitted that copy of the affidavit to be filed in terms of the last order dated March 8 2021 not supplied to petitioner.

Chandigarh, April 3 : Former Haryana Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday held the state government responsible for the disorder in the state s mandis with the onset of wheat procurement.
He said the government has announced purchases of wheat from April 1 but did not make proper arrangements in the mandis. Farmers who are reaching the market with their crops are being harassed as the government is making excuses that the online server is down. Farmers are being told that only persons who will get the message can come to the mandis to sell their crops, Hooda said.
