Confidence is everything. Stuart Gould knows it, and he showed it on Saturday at Forest Hills Eastern’s Hawk Stadium for the Division 2 state track finals. Remember last year, when Gould got him? That was pure confidence in laying it all on the line in the final moments of the 400-meter dash to win a state championship. Whitehall’s Trannon Aylor was on the other side of Gould’s win last year. Stuart Gould is going to get his wish in one of his final track events at Tri County. The Vikings’ standout senior sprinter wanted to bring teammates with him to the MHSAA state track finals before the season began. He had big dreams to bring more than one person wearing Tri County running gear to Forest Hills Eastern’s Hawk Stadium for the Division 2 finals.
Stuart Gould ran off the track at Goodin-Parker Field during a practice, beaming with pride and confidence. Next to his teammate and good friend, Ian Boden, Gould flexed for the camera something he and his Tri County teammates have grown accustomed to from their wildly successful football season.
