Two new special edition models of Ford s Ranger pick-up will go on sale in the UK later in 2021. The Stormtrak is based on top-spec Wildtrak trim and features exclusive colours and equipment, while the Wolftrak is a rugged mid-spec model geared towards off-road use.
The Ford Ranger Stormtrak features the same 210bhp 2.0 EcoBlue twin-turbodiesel engine as the Ranger Wildtrak, and comes exclusively with the Ranger s 10-speed automatic gearbox, which makes it perfect for towing.
As well as all the standard Wildtrak features, the Stormtrak adds exclusive styling components, including unique Rapid Red paint (Frozen White and Blue Lightning are also available), a red grille insert, LED headlights and underbody protection.
► The other is for outdoor workers
Ford is launching a pair of special-edition Ranger pick-up trucks aimed at two distinct types of customers – leisure buyers who want to up the style and outdoorsy types who make their living in the wild. Prices are yet to be announced, but they will go on sale in the UK in October 2021.
Called the Stormtrak and Wolftrak, both offer different looks, extra equipment and added exclusivity thanks to limited availability. The Stormtrak is a high-end model based on the popular Ranger Wildtrak. The Wolftrak is more of a working truck with an emphasis on improved off-road capability. Interestingly, it s the leisure truck that gets more power.
