That every citizen believes that they own the water front in San Francisco. And that is a hard one for us as a commission to meet everybodys needs and desires. And i have come to respect that. And we also at time have to make some decision and we have made the decisions and we sort of know where i have stood and so the controversial projects as well. And we not having to go back and revisit that. I will start off with the division and i think that the staff has heard me talk about this, in 1997, reuniting San Francisco with the water front was a very appropriate thing and what i have not found in the stopping is what the division is doing Going Forward and i think that we have reunited San Francisco with the water front and there is no question that has happened and i think that we have them defined on the visionary level of what it is that we see it Going Forward that we cant address the for that and it is keeping the water front a center of the Recreational Activity and i dont know w

Short time that i have been on the commission i am stunned at the number of things that have gone forward and the projects from parks to museums and to all sorts of things and i still think that pier 70 is one of the most exciting things to happen to the city and the kutos that are come ng and it is a testament to the Lessons Learned being played out. And the commissioner helped to point it out and we dont have that many areas where the projects can go forward. We have seen a lot of things come along and those Lessons Learned were anraid to one of the largest projects and i think that the people are feeling good about what is happening in that area. And i, i appreciate also, as brad pointed out we did do the capitol planning annually and that plays into a lot of things and i think that we have got, such an obligation really to take how that has played out here and this is a chance to really, have that overlay, in a very concrete way of our capitol planning with the project and our visi

What is useful for terms of public input and how do we craft more that have and get it so that we are able to be maximized and to be able to get most of the impact in terms of the Public Participation that we are able to get together. And we have citizens who are sophisticated and engaged and care passionately about our city and that is something that we do embrace and that is what i want to see how to get more people involved in the advisory commissions or whatever other ways that we can turn to those that want to provide the input in the processes. Emphasizing what did and did not work, and look at what happens, over the last few, years. And we do update that plan, and approximately, five years, and so, you know, not only are you looking at what happens since we implemented the plan but what has changed in the last five years and i know that the short time that i have been on the commission i am stunned at the number of things that have gone forward and the projects from parks to mus

For 2014 or Going Forward to 2020 and we need to look forward, and looking backwards and i think that we need to understand, just what we have left, so that it is not in the publics mind that we are going to are developing and everything that we do with development because i believe and i dont believe, and we can count off the number of piers that we can develop and the amount of open space and the lots that we have left, is limited, and that is communicated we all need to have the balance of what the water front can be and. And we have the issues and take it for a long time and in addition to what brad talks about which is only maintaining the water front as is, and that is not the development. And so we need to understand just how much that we can do Going Forward and so that we have a balanced view, so that we can understand what the water front can be and we need to boil that up into a vision that we can all agree, or at least most of us can agree what the vision of the water front

And so as you know, i am always someone who likes to take the bigger landscape rather t
