GREEN RIVER Due to Flaming Gorge Days being postponed until summer of 2022, local sports league 307 Cornhole proposed a possible summer event to take place in June during the Green River City Council workshop Tuesday night.
Zac Page, a representative of 307 Cornhole, said that the group would like to host an event in Green River from June 11 through June 13.
“With the announcement of Flaming Gorge Days being canceled, we all decided that we would like to try to fill the void and give the community something, an activity,” Page said.

The initial plans for the event include a three-day cornhole tournament, three-on-three basketball, local bands, food vendors, and other activities for kids and families. He said a few local nonprofit groups have shown interest in partnering on the event to provide family events.

Flaming Gorge Days is another year away, but a group of cornhole players are wanting to bring an event to Green River in June.
