Palm Coast Councilmember Victor Barbosa hospitalized with COVID-19 Palm Coast City Councilmember Victor Barbosa posted Sunday on Facebook that he was hospitalized and battling COVID-19 and pneumonia. 3 days in the hospital fighting COVID and pneumonia, Barbosa wrote along with a picture of him in a hospital bed. Barbosa had more than 300 responses to the post from people wishing him well and a speedy recovery.  Barbosa said in a Facebook message on Monday to The News-Journal that he was at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. But he did not respond when asked whether he was vaccinated. One person posted on Barbosa s Facebook page saying he received a vaccine and he tested negative while the rest of his family got COVID-19 a few weeks back. The person then asked Barbosa if he had received a vaccination. Barbosa responded with a thumbs up but it s unclear whether that is in response to the vaccine question.
