A consortium led by Acwa Power, a major Saudi developer of power and desalination projects, has been awarded the contract to develop an independent water project at Rabigh in Makkah region which will have a production capacity of 600,000 cu m per day.
Spanish group Almar Water Solutions said its consortium has secured a contract from Saudi oil giant Aramco to build a water treatment plant with a capacity of 185,000 cu m/day for its Zuluf Onshore project, located 240 km north of Dhahran.
