Some 465 entrants posted photos and videos of their gardens in the inaugural Family Backyard Garden Challenge staged by the Jamaica 4H Clubs, which had its presentation of its winners on Thursday, February 25.
Shaneka Wallace-Graham of St James was adjudged the winner of the competition, walking away with a cash prize of $50,000 plus gardening tools, seeds and fertilizer for her efforts.
Second place went to Joel James of St Catherine who received $35,000 in cash plus other prizes, while Elaine Britton of St Thomas rounded out the top three, receiving $25,000 in cash, along with other prizes.
