Athy band Picture This have been shortlisted for this year s RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year 2020, in association with the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA).
The announcement was made on RTÉ 2FM’s Tracy Clifford Show on Wednesday.
Picture This were nominated for their song Winona Ryder.
The full shortlist is as follows:
Denise Chaila – Chaila (Narolane)
Fontaines D.C. – Televised Mind (Rough Trade)
Niall Horan – No Judgement (Capitol Records)
Jafaris – Haunted (Jafaris)

The rising star is joined on the list by some of the World s top names such as Dermot Kennedy, Gavin James and Niall Horan.
To vote for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize, Irish Song of the Year 2020, click here Votes are limited to one per person per day. Only votes cast in the Republic of Ireland will be counted. Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 28th February.

Promoter Shane Dunne is the MD of music festival Indiependence, which announced it was leaving its location of 15 years in Mitchelstown, Co Cork, following the cancellation of Indiependence 2020. Dunne acted as spokesperson for EPIC, the lobbying group formed to support the live events sector. In November, his management company received Live Performance Support Scheme funding of €76,000 to produce a series of musical performances in Mitchelstown Caves.
