Denise Chaila wins RTÉ Choice Music Prize Album of the Year 2020 Updated / Friday, 5 Mar 2021 11:35 Denise Chaila has been announced as the winner of the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year 2020 for the album  Go Bravely.  U2 s Adam Clayton made the announcement live after the judging panel, made up of Irish music media professionals and chaired by Jim Carroll, met up over Zoom to decide on the winning album. And the winner of #RTEChoicePrize Album of the Year is. Denise receives a cheque for €10,000, a prize which has been provided by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA), as well as a specially- commissioned award.

The announcement was made on RTÉ 2FM’s Tracy Clifford Show on Wednesday.  Picture This were nominated for their song Winona Ryder. Robert on the Rise- Graignamanagh singer/songwriter picked by RTÉ 2fm as one to watch for 2021 Reporter: news@kilkennypeople.ie Graignamanagh s Robert Grace has been selected as one of RTE 2fm s Rising stars for 2021 ); A Kilkenny singer/songwriter has been selected as one to watch for 2021. Graignamanagh s Robert Grace was one of 10 acts selected by RTÉ 2FM chosen by a panel of experts for its 2FM Rising list. All 10 acts are set to be championed in the next 12 months. The announcement was made on The Tracy Clifford Show on 2FM as part of Rising Week. During the year, the 10 acts will be promoted extensively on 2FM, with their new music showcased and interviews aired on the station. Each act will also receive a €1,000 bursary from the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO).
