In Solano County. Right now, both directions of highway 80 in fairfield are back open after an hours long standoff between Law Enforcement and an armed suspect. Standoff lasted for more than two hours before the chp says the gunman was taken to the hospital for a selfinflicted gunshot wound. It all started around 11 00 this morning, chp tells us. This all stemmed from a reported shooting on highway 101 in santa rosa. This morning. Officers tracked the suspect vehicle to a Shopping Center in rohnert park, which led to the pursuit about 330 this afternoon, he stopped near the i80 680 interchange in fairfield. Officer Andrew Barclay with the chp says officers work diligently to deescalate the situation. In the holes that you see in the back windshield are not bullet holes.
