Providence foundation. The invoices were submitted in 2022 for painting of the exterior of the oasis hotel and the removal of locks at the hotel. The citys Attorneys Office discovered that work was never done. Our action today starts the process to ensure that providence is not able to apply for future contracts, it is up to the city as were reviewing this and whether the current contracts would end. Providence foundation operates the oasis hotel, a shelter for families experiencing homelessness. We went to their offices for comment, and their staff closed their doors. Providence receives city funds to operate a navigation center, as well as multiple housing subsidy and voucher programs. For years, they have received grants through the Citys Department of homelessness and Supportive Housing. Wild chase through multiple bay area counties as a shooting suspect avoids several attempts by police to spike the cars tires. It led to an hours long standoff that shut down interstate 80. It shut down the freeway at green valley road, creating a massive backup. The chp says the suspect was wanted for shooting at someone this morning along highway 101, in windsor. A bullet went through the back of a car, seemingly chosen at random, and the driver was not hurt. Police located the suspected shooters vehicle three hours later in a parking lot. The driver took off as officers closed in. The pursuit continued across several freeways with multiple failed attempts at spike strip stops where hes really uh avoid the spike strip, so be careful.
