Fire burned down 12 homes and charred 4300 acres since it started on monday. Crews have the fire 50 contained. Only the iteam learned the fire likely started at the site of a marijuana farm and the owner has ties to a dispensary in santa cruz. We tracked down the owner and another issue ts today. Neighbors told me theyve been complaining about a year about the pot farms in the mountains. The man listed as ceo owns the 80 acre farm where the fire may have begun. And he issued a statement to his attorney. To our knowledge nothing illegal was going on on the property. No butane, no meth lab, no ilLegal Marijuana grow.
