As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, Tropical Storm Philippe's sustained winds are being pegged at 50 mph with wind gusts up to 65 mph. Phillippe has been struggling this week because of wind shear over the Atlantic, but despite its difficulties, the system continues moving northwest at 8 mph.
As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, Tropical Storm Philippe's sustained winds are at 45 mph with wind gusts up to 60 mph. Wind shear has been weakening the storm by pushing the rain connected with the system to the east of its center.
