Try to merge the two issues in a renewed quest for a grand bargain. Speaker boehner said today republicans will insist on spending cuts if theyre going to vote to raise the borrowing limit. I dont believe that we should default on our debt. Its not good for our country. But after 55 years of spending more than what you bring in, something ought to be addressed. This year well have more revenue than any year in the history of our country and yet still have a nearly 700 billion deficit. And i think the American People expect if were going to raise the amount of money we can borrow, we ought to do something about our spending problem and the lack of Economic Growth in our country. Reporter for his part, president obama said again hed be willing to negotiate on spending cuts and other issues, but only after the government reopens. Again, as we use different platforms, we will have to work we will work through with the air force how we use those and how theyre best effective in supporting our Ground Forces as we move forward. Find it curious that you come over here with all the necessity for cost savings and the a10 costs for flying air is 17,000 for flying hour, the b1, 54,000 per flying hour. New jersey democrats are pushing to expand their inquiry beyond just the federal investigation. What happens now and how will it impact his president ial prospects . Were covering every angle. Lets get started with the latest developments from new jersey. Jim avila is there. Jim . Reporter good morning, martha. During the two hour News Conference he answered every question, except the critical one, how can this happen . Dangerously leaving that to his critics, the press and federal prosecutors. This is not the bombastic Chris Christie america knows so well, meekly walking down the steps on a humiliating apology tour.
