Fire seriously damages section of India s largest vaccine lab
New Delhi, Jan 21 (Prensa Latina) An intense fire broke out at a section under construction of India s Serum Institute, in Pune, the world s largest vaccine manufacturer, in an area intended to produce the anti-Covid-19 immunizing agent killing five people, the company reported.
Pune s mayor Murlidhar Mahol confirmed five bodies were found in the rubble after the flames were extinguished by firefighters. He added the victims were probably construction workers, and that the cause of the fire had not been determined and the extent of damage was not immediately clear.
