Additional facilities are to be provided at one of Leitrim s most popular outdoor amenities and waterways as part of a €19m Fáilte Ireland investment.
All-weather changing and showering facilities are to be developed at Acres Lake in Drumshambo, Co. Leitrim as well at over 20 other locations across the country.
The facilities will also include lockers for personal belongings as well as induction areas for water sports, while they will all be wheelchair accessible.

Two Clare facilites are to benefit from a multi-million euro investment in water activities.
Fáilte Ireland has announced a 19 million euro fund forworld-class facility centres at 22 locations across the country where water-based activities are a key visitor attraction
These include the Ballycuggaran Sports Activity Facility in Ogonnelloe and Kilkee Waterworld Activity Facilities.

It s part of a multi-million euro project from Failte Ireland, which says the facilities will be nothing like what they have already.
They will be spread across 22 beaches in total in urban and rural areas across the country.

The facilities at Claycastle, Youghal and Garrylucas Beach, Ballinspittle will also include lockers for personal belongings as well as induction areas for water sports.
The investment scheme will support the local economy and the outdoor activity sector by significantly enhancing the overall visitor experience at these locations along with providing new business opportunities in local communities and allowing for the extension of the tourism season beyond the traditional summer months.
