Arjun Kapoor has some amazing performances in his kitty. He has tried his hands on every genre right from romance, comedy and even gritty dramas. The actor recently revealed that he wanted to be a part of Kapoor & Sons and even called up the director Shakun Batra for a role.
Arjun Kapoor was answering queries from his fans online on a session moderated by Janice Sequeria and Aniruddha Guha on The Bollywood Film Club s In The Club on Clubhouse and made an intriguing confession. Kapoor & Sons starred Fawad Khan as a gay author. The role was rejected by at least six big stars and at one point Karan Johar even thought of shelving the film if he didn’t find the right actor for it. Arjun Kapoor who knew about this problem decided to call up the director and reach out to him saying he had no qualms in playing the role.

ISLAMABAD: Here are 5 lesser-known facts about the late Bollywood’s legendary actor Dilip Kumar, reports Geo News.
1. It is believed that Dilip Kumar was fluent in a number of languages, including Pashto, Hindko, Urdu, Hindi and English.
2. His films Mughal-e-Azam and Naya Daur were fully colourized and re-released in 2004 and 2008 respectively.
3. Kumar holds the record for winning three consecutive Filmfare Best Actor awards, mustering them in 1955, 1956 and 1957. No other actor has attained such feat in the history of Hindi cinema.
4. He was the only actor of his time who played a triple role in a film.
5. The actor’s original name is not Dilip Kumar but Mohammed Yusuf Khan. Eminent Hindi author Bhagwati Charan Varma gave him the screen name Dilip Kumar.

India is mourning the passing of Bollywood heavyweight Dilip Kumar, who built and defined the genre in the 1950s and 60s. The actor, who died at 98, was one of the last living movie stars of the classical era. He is also still the actor who – together with 55-year-old Shah Rukh Khan – has the most Filmfare Awards for Best Actor to his name. Kumar won the trophy a total of eight times, bagging four trophies in the 1950s, including at the inaugural Filmfare Awards in 1954, three more in the 1960s and a last one in 1983.
Among the actor’s biggest hits are social drama Daag, which earned him his first Best Actor award, and Deedar, a story of two lovers separated by class difference – which established Kumar as the “king of tragedies”. Dilip Kumar was known as a method actor and gravitated towards heavy, emotional roles throughout his career.
