Dundalk FC manager Filippo Giovagnoli has shown his support for a Dundalk Democrat petition to have Covid-19 vaccines rolled out in pharmacies.
The Dundalk Democrat, along with its sister titles in the Iconic Newspaper group, is backing local pharmacies to deliver the Covid 19 vaccines to our communities. They have launched a petition to Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly.
After signing the petition, the Italian football boss said: I think the vaccine campaign is extremely important to beat the virus and solve this world crisis. It is crucial to get vaccinated to protect ourselves because protecting ourselves means protecting others.

Sonni Ragnar Nattestad beats Denmark s Martin Braithwaite to a header during an international friendly in October
Faroe Islands international Sonni Ragnar Nattestad has joined Dundalk from B36 Torshavn.
The 6ft 6in centre-half has racked up 31 caps for his country since making his debut in 2013 and his new manager Filippo Giovagnoli will be hoping that Nattestad proves a commanding figure at the heart of the Lilywhites defence when they bid to challenge for the title next season.
Nattestad has also had spells in Denmark and Norway during his career and the 27-year-old played a major role in B36 Torshavn s Europa League qualifying run last season.
Lee Carsley and John O Shea are the leading candidates to replace Damien Duff in Stephen Kenny s Irish backroom staff but there is no guarantee that either option will be in a position to accept the job if it s offered to them.
The former internationals are the outstanding options to replace Duff with Kenny looking for a well-regarded coach with high-level international playing experience to fill the void left by the Dubliner s shock departure.
O Shea has unsurprisingly been linked with the job given that he is already involved with the Ireland set-up at U-21 level, which in theory would make things more straightforward given how other staff have moved between the squads.

WHEN IT COMES to League of Ireland players, it’s hard to think of many, past or present, who have had as successful or distinguished a career as Gary Rogers.
After playing his final game last month the concluding match of Dundalk’s Europa League campaign against Arsenal he announced his retirement.
Only one player, Waterford and Limerick legend Al Finucane, made more appearances than Rogers in League of Ireland history.
And the Navan native can look back on his career with great satisfaction five Premier Division titles and five FAI Cup triumphs are among his many accolades.

After announcing the end of his eight-year spell at Dundalk FC last night, Dane Massey has today completed a shock move to Co. Louth rivals and newly-promoted Drogheda United.
Massey, who was released by The Lilywhites in mid-December, made just shy of 300 competitive appearances for the club he joined from Bray Wanderers at the start of 2013.
One of Stephen Kenny’s first signings as manager, the left-back was an ever-present in an era which yielded five League of Ireland titles, three FAI Cups and three EA Sports Cups.
